Accurate Wordsworth Lyrics

Accurate Punchline and Wordsworth lyrics for research, informative, and entertainment purposes.

From left: Punchline and Wordsworth
Wordsworth

Wordsworth is an underground hip hop MC from Brooklyn. Wordsworth recorded with his partner Punchline on A Tribe Called Quest's The Love Movement and on Mos Def and Talib Kweli's Black Star. He was also involved in the critically acclaimed MTV comedy sketch series Lyricist Lounge. He made his solo debut in September 2004 with Mirror Music. He was also featured in a Slam Bush music video where he's hip hop "battling" a nervous George W. Bush (or rather footage of him taken from other videos). Wordsworth is a member of the supergroup eMC, alongside Masta Ace, Punchline and Strick.

Another thing to note about Wordsworth the MC is his remarkable battling ability. He is very clever not only lyrically but also with attention to flow. His rhythm stays on point as he juggles his emphasis at a moments notice to make a 4-syllable rhyme work. Though clever and unique, Wordsworth's flow may after a while become expected. It also seems that as the hip hop market has moved away from the New York scene, any national notoriety Wordsworth had has gone along with it. I would like to think we have not seen the end of this talented rapper's career.

Punchline is the other half of this recent duo and is a good underground emcee who has along with Wordsworth joined Masta Ace on some outstanding tracks including "Block Episode" from Masta Ace's Disposable Arts LP.

Below are accurate Wordsworth lyrics to some of his most requested songs. If you have any requests for accurate lyrics to a Punchline or Wordsworth song please feel free to email Lyrics @ Thestateofhiphop.com.
